Renfe celebrates tomorrow Thursday, coinciding with the operation leaving the bridge of the Constitution, a new day of partial strikes, as it did last September, to denounce denouncing the policy of "privatizations and outsourcing" in the company and the lack of Renfe and Adif staff.

The train company has had to cancel a total of 155 AVE and medium and long distance trains. The Ministry of Development has decreed minimum services "to ensure the provision of essential rail transport services for passengers and goods".

The CGT union, a minority in the Renfe committee, has convened three stoppages for this Thursday between 12:00 pm and 4:00 am, between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm and between 8:00 pm and 12:00 pm. Trains that run outside these hours are not affected by stoppages.

Renfe also plans a 23-hour strike on December 20, just before Christmas. Tomorrow Thursday will circulate 265 AVE and long-distance trains, which are 90% of those initially scheduled.

Passengers affected by the 28 AVE cancellations will be about 6,300. In medium-distance services, 215 of the 342 trains planned will be maintained, 63% of the total, but there will be 5,250 passengers affected by the 127 cancellations.

For commercial service travelers whose train is affected by the strike, Renfe will offer to travel on another train at the closest time to the one acquired or they may cancel or change their ticket for another date at no cost, if they prefer.
