Israel denounces the accession of six new European countries to the Instex barter mechanism created in early 2019 by Europeans to circumvent US sanctions imposed on Iran by avoiding the use of the dollar.

" While the Middle East is standing bravely against Iran and its henchmen, something absurd is happening : countries in Europe are trying to circumvent US sanctions against Iran, " said Sunday. evening Benyamin Netanyahu.

"These European countries should be ashamed of themselves. Have they learned nothing from history? Apparently not. They allow a fanatical country to develop nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. And they bring on themselves a disaster. And also on all the rest of the world. The time has come to change course, "said Benyamin Netanyahu.

Founded by France, Germany and the United Kingdom, the Instex (Business Transaction Support Instrument) has so far not promoted any transactions, but is regularly criticized by Israel. For its part, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the accession of Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden to this agreement could not a worse moment.
