The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Sharjah Center for Export Development, registered a successful participation through its platform, which brought together 11 national companies specialized in building and construction products from the members of the Chamber, in the exhibition «Big Five» which concluded recently in Dubai International, where it was able to open new export channels For UAE companies in regional and international markets.

According to a statement issued yesterday, the Center's participation was aimed at strengthening local industries and complementing the role in which it seeks to promote the UAE product and increase the market shares of the local exporter in international markets, thus enhancing the contribution of the construction sector to the GDP of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Director of Sharjah Export Development Center, Abdulaziz Mohammed Shattaf, said: “The center has succeeded in highlighting the representatives of national companies through this huge event, demonstrating their production capabilities and highlighting the quality of construction products in the emirate. Sharjah's competitiveness, while the center's pavilion witnessed many meetings and formal meetings with participants and visitors to the exhibition.

Shattaf described the participation in the exhibition as positive, after the center was able to provide all forms of encouragement and basic requirements for national companies participating in the exhibition, and support to meet with a group of owners of companies, institutions and investors interested in the construction sector in the region, pointing out that the exhibition «Big Five» was a global event In the construction sector for manufacturers, contractors, entrepreneurs and decision makers, it has also contributed to introducing the regional contracting sector to the opportunities of importing UAE building materials.
