KOKUYO "Pentel" stock purchase price will be raised again on November 30 0:02

The largest stationery maker, KOKUYO, has announced that it will further increase the purchase price of the writing instrument maker Pentel, which is embarking on a hostile takeover. This is the second time the price has been raised, and there seems to be an aim to ensure the acquisition.

For the writing instrument maker Pentel, both KOKUYO and PLUS are competing for stock acquisition. KOKUYO has already announced that it wants to acquire a majority stake in Pentel and make it a subsidiary.

Initially, I wanted to buy for 3500 yen per share, but the price was raised to 3750 yen on the 20th of this month because the purchase price presented by Plus was the same amount. And on the 29th, KOKUYO announced that it would raise the purchase price to 4200 yen.

The price increase will be the second time.

In addition, we are appealing to shareholders about the purchase period of shares by requesting the purchase of KOKUYO by 9 days, one day before the 10th of next month, which Plus shows. KOKUYO seems to have the aim of surely realizing the acquisition.
