Iberdrola has appeared in the case that investigates the leaks of information to the Moncloa.com portal that describe the company's connections with the retired and jailed commissioner, José Manuel Villarejo.

The group defends its "fundamental right to receive truthful information" after knowing the judicial resolution of the Central Court of Instruction number 6 of the National Court that prohibits the publication of news derived from the recordings of Villarejo with the former director of Security of the group, Antonio Asenjo

"Iberdrola considers that the information disseminated so far has been useful for carrying out the relevant internal investigation procedures and, therefore, considers that the precautionary measure adopted negatively affects its sphere of legitimate interests , " he says. the company chaired by Ignacio Galán in a statement sent this Thursday.

The power company stands out in this statement, the first after the audios were revealed, that "it has nothing to hide" and will continue to collaborate with the Justice for "the clarification of the facts".

The recordings published by 'Moncloa.com' and 'Elconfidencial.com' point to alleged spying by Villarejo for Iberdrola to shareholders, employees and even ACS President Florentino Pérez , with whom the power company maintained a power struggle between 2006 and 2012 for the control of the council.
