HH Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, today launched the Saadiyat Grove project in the heart of Saadiyat Island's cultural district, Abu Dhabi. One thousand square meters, featuring an integrated culture identity, enhances the lifestyle of Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan toured the Saadiyat Grove Experience Center at Saadiyat Island, where he was briefed on the master plan and design models of the project.

Several axes

His Highness attended a presentation on the impact of Saadiyat Grove in several areas, from transforming and revitalizing Abu Dhabi's retail, tourism and leisure plans to contributing to the emirate's GDP and attracting foreign direct investment to the capital.

His Highness was briefed on the latest developments related to the implementation of the first phase of the project, which included the completion of the design work, the award of the first package of construction works, and the commencement of preparations and foundations in the project.

The Saadiyat Grove project is being developed in several phases and the first phase is expected to start in 2022.

Cultural identity

The Saadiyat Grove project is characterized by an integrated cultural identity, which focuses on enriching the cultural dimension of various aspects of life in Abu Dhabi. With its various components, the company promotes a culture of living for the residents and visitors of the capital.

When inaugurated, the project will form an exceptional link between the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed National Museum and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

Housing units

With 3706 residential units, including 170 international hotel apartments, the Saadiyat Grove project aims to provide residential complexes with a culture of belonging, with 60,000 square meters of retail, restaurant and hotel space, as well as joint work spaces dedicated to the culture of communication and collaboration. Various destinations for entertainment, arts and smart technology solutions focus on fostering a culture of enjoyment and fostering a culture of creativity in all its forms and colors.

The first phase of Saadiyat Grove will include 606 residential units and some 200 retail units, supported by a variety of facilities, including gyms, swimming pools, children's play areas, community parks and a jogging track that will connect the entire project.

The implementation of a culture of sustainability and green initiatives has been a major focus of the project, with 50% of it being implemented through the Local Value Added Enhancement Program (ICV), which aims to create new jobs for skilled Emiratis in the private sector.
