During its participation in the Big 5, the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) presented six national projects that enhance safety and security requirements in the construction sector, including UAE regulations issued by the Authority to support safety requirements in doors and motorized windows, escalators and walkers, and elevators. Al-Moaini pointed out that the UAE's system for controlling the safety requirements for automatic doors and windows ensures that safety and performance requirements are met when installing the product, which is powered by electric drive and control devices.

He added: “We also show the UAE system for the products of escalators and electric walkers, and the development of the system requirements and technical requirements to be met, and responsibilities for periodic inspection and tests before and after putting the product in public use, as well as the responsibilities of the competent authorities and their role in the application of this system. '

He continued: «We also show the UAE system of electric elevator products for buildings and facilities, which ensures compliance with the security of users of those elevators, and fire resistance, and determine the places of entry and exit from the building, and the loads required for each elevator, up to the number of elevators required for the building».

Al Moaini confirmed that the technical team in the Authority also presents the UAE system of tools for water consumption, which aims to ensure the availability of products with high efficiency in the use of water through two criteria, the first to maintain appropriate flow rates of water, and the second to ensure the efficient use of water compatible with the type of use.

He pointed out that EAD is also presenting the UAE Environmental Mark - Systems and Products, which enables consumers to identify products that meet environmental standards and contribute effectively to improving environmental performance by marking products that meet the standards with an environmental mark.
