The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) warns of the remarkable stagnation that is already suffering the reduction of unemployment in Spain. The agency, in the world economic forecasts that it has published today, foresees that the unemployment rate will remain at 14.2% this year and only one tenth will be reduced next, to 14.1%.
By 2021, the Organization foresees that unemployment will be reduced somewhat more, although the half point it expects of reduction will only serve to make the rate up to 13.6%.
This negative scenario in the field of employment extends, and at the same time is caused by the lower expected growth. Specifically, the OECD forecasts that Spain's GDP will advance 2% this year, which is two tenths less than the previous estimate, and 1.6% in 2020, which represents another three tenths of reduction.
