Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has selected DEWA, ​​a consortium led by ACWA Power and Gulf Investment Corporation, to implement the fifth phase of the 900 megawatt Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in accordance with the independent product system. The Dubai government media office, in a tweet on the site "Twitter", that "Dewa" attracted the lowest global competitive price of about 1.7 US cents per kilowatt.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is the world's largest single-site solar project, with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts by 2020 and 5,000 megawatts by 2030, with investments of up to AED 50 billion.
The phases use solar PV and CSP technologies to provide clean energy to citizens and residents of Dubai. The complex also includes an innovation center, a research and development center, test centers and a solar desalination plant.
