Manuel Delgado, director of ACS, has submitted his resignation in the management body of the construction company chaired by Florentino Pérez. This cessation occurs after they have been made public on moncloa.com and elconfidencial.es audio recordings in which José Manuel Villarejo talked with Delgado as an intermediate man to reach Florentino Pérez, allegedly the object of a spy plot that would have Iberdrola organized with the then Police Commissioner.

Delgado, Sunday advisor through Alcor (group controlled by Alberto Alcocer and Alberto Cortina) has been part of the construction council since 2004 . The new recordings date from 2009, when ACS and the president of Iberdrola, Ignacio Sánchez Galán, rivaled for having power within the electric company.

Pérez has already announced that he will appear as an indictment in the National Court in view of the alleged criminal activities carried out by Iberdrola at the hands of Villarejo.
