The Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC) today issued the Arabic version of the Diamond Terminology Guidelines document.

The preparation of these guidelines is a reference document that provides an accurate description of synthetic diamonds and imitation diamonds according to international standards, with the aim of eliminating any confusion about the original sources of gemstones in the industry, companies and traders.

The DMCC has been mandated to translate the available guidelines document in nine languages ​​into Arabic, to ensure standardization of diamond terms in Arabic-speaking countries.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chief Executive Officer and CEO of DMCC, said: “The issuance of the document in Arabic is a positive and comprehensive step for the diamond sector, especially given the growth and prosperity of the Arabic speaking countries. Ensure that these standardized terms are available in Arabic.
