Luxembourg was the first foreign country to lay the foundation stone for its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, after it was also the first country to sign the official participation contract in October 2017. The theme of the pavilion is expected to be entitled: “resource-rich Luxembourg”, which reflects its position as a country. Smart, looking to connect the human, natural, technical and financial resources, which she needs to build her future.

The pavilion will be located in the Opportunity area, and will include exhibition space, multi-purpose facilities, a restaurant and shop, administrative offices and technical facilities.

The pavilion's architecture and design will focus on resource-related issues, highlight Luxembourg's ambition, promote the country's ability to reinvent itself and its commitment to sustainable growth.

Luxembourg has already revealed that the materials of its stand at Expo 2020 Dubai can be reused 70% after the show, revealing that the cost of the stand is 35.9 million dollars (131.8 million dirhams).

The design of the pavilion was chosen through an open tender, in which teams of architects, engineers and designers were asked to provide a comprehensive view of Luxembourg, under the theme of “resource-rich Luxembourg”.
