The Nike sports brand has broken the agreement it had to sell its footwear and clothing at Amazon and will withdraw its products from the e-commerce platform, as announced by the manufacturer.
The brand reached an agreement with Amazon in 2017 to sell its products on its website but now backtracks, arguing that it does so "within the framework of efforts to improve the customer experience."
The agreement meant that Amazon removed the imitations of Nike products from its platform and no longer accepted sales of items of this brand by intermediaries.
Other brands competing with Nike, such as Adidas, do sell on Amazon and partly because of this, to better cope with the competition, Nike, which had resisted it, reached this agreement.
Now it breaks the pact, so that the client can no longer buy sneakers or sportswear of the brand on the website of the group led by Jeff Bezos. The brand has said that it will continue to use Amazon to store its data online.
