According to this, the number of people who worked away from work places such as homes and shared offices was 680,000, including more than 2,800 companies and organizations.

In addition, as a result of analyzing a person who moved to a place more than 500 meters away from home using the location information of a KDDI mobile phone user who agreed to the survey, commuting to Tokyo 23 Wards on weekdays during the period, etc. We found that the average number of people who moved in decreased by 9.2% per day.

Looking at every 23 wards, in central Tokyo where there are many offices, the number of people who moved to Shinjuku ward by commuting decreased by an average of 9.6% per week, Chiyoda ward and Chuo ward were 7.5%, Minato ward was 7.1%, It means that each decreased.

On the other hand, looking at each stadium area, the decrease rate was large from 6.5% to 9.1% around the new national stadium, while the decrease rate around the coastal stadium was only 4.4%. It was reported that further measures were required.

In addition, the results of demonstration tests such as traffic regulations conducted on July 24th and 26th in line with Telework Days were also reported, about 7% for the Metropolitan Expressway and about 4% for ordinary roads, the same as last year. The amount of traffic decreased from the season.

The person in charge at the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Promotion Headquarters called on each company to cooperate, saying that further traffic reduction is necessary next year.

Based on this result, the government will consider efforts to expand telework for the next year's tournament.
