The average total salary in September was more than 272,000 yen as a preliminary report, surpassing the same month last year by 0.8%, and real wages reflecting price fluctuations were positive for the first time in nine months.

According to the preliminary report of the “Monthly Labor Survey” conducted by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for more than 30,000 offices nationwide, the total salary per worker, including the basic salary and overtime in September, is average. It was 272,937 yen.

This was 0.8% higher than the same month last year and was the first positive in three months.

Among them, the total salary of full-time workers is 352,645 yen on average, 1.3% higher than the same month last year, and those who work part-time are 97,406 yen, 0.2% higher than the same month last year.

Real wage reflecting price fluctuations increased by 0.6% compared to the same month last year, the first increase in nine months.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, “The real wage has turned positive because of the large increase in the total salary of full-time workers.”
