Europe 1 unveiled on Monday morning the barometer Meilleurtaux.com-Jobijoba of the most attractive cities of France. Besançon, Orléans and Saint-Étienne top the list, while Paris and Marseille are at the bottom.

This is called going against an image of Epinal. The three most attractive cities of France are Besançon, Orléans and Saint-Étienne, according to the third barometer conducted by the real estate specialist Meilleurtaux.com and online job Jobijoba, Europe 1 unveiled Monday morning .

Good employment rate, fair wages and affordable real estate prices

This ranking, which includes the 30 largest French municipalities, was based on a series of data, such as job offers, wages, interest rates or the price of real estate. Besançon, Orléans and Saint-Étienne thus have the same characteristics: on-site jobs, fair wages and relatively affordable property prices.

Besançon, at the top of the barometer, presents 13 offers of CDI per 100 inhabitants. Its industrial fabric resists well, and especially the real estate prices are much lower than in the big cities: less than 2,000 euros per square meter, against more than 10,000 in Paris or 5,000 in Bordeaux.

Lyon sixth, Paris and Marseille at the end of the ranking

Other cities manage to succeed, as Grenoble, fourth and very dynamic in employment. Lyon, sixth, is doing much better than other major cities. Bordeaux is thus 20th and Paris 26th, the fault at very high real estate prices. At the end of the ranking we find Nice (28th), Marseille (29th) and Nîmes (30th), all three penalized by a very low employment rate.
