Amazon will open three data centers in Spain. The new AWS Europe Region will arrive in Spain in the coming years, allowing customers to execute workloads and store data in this country, in addition to satisfying end users with even lower latency.

Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), belonging to the e-commerce giant, has announced that it will open an infrastructure region in Spain. The new AWS Europe Region will consist of three availability zones at the time of its launch and will be the seventh AWS region in Europe, joining the existing ones in Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Stockholm and the next region in Milan , whose implementation is scheduled for early 2020.

The opening of the region in Spain is estimated for the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023 . Currently, AWS offers 69 availability zones in 22 infrastructure regions worldwide. With this announcement, AWS has already announced plans for the inauguration of 13 new availability zones and four regions in Indonesia, Italy, South Africa and Spain, as announced on Thursday.

The Herald of Aragon said that the three data centers would be located in three locations in that community , as confirmed by the company to EL MUNDO: in Huesca, in Villanueva de Gállego and in El Burgo de Ebro. The total investment of the multinational will reach 2,500 million euros and originate 1,500 direct jobs in 10 years.
