The President of the Government in office, Pedro Sánchez, has given a last minute meeting to the business congress that is critical of his economic policy.

Sanchez promised to close the XXII National Congress of Family Business this Tuesday in Murcia, but has canceled this weekend . This is the new annual meeting organized by the Family Business Institute in which the socialist leader crashed last year.

The influential business association is chaired by Francisco J. Riberas, in turn president of Gestamp, and is part of it, among others, the president of Mercadona, Juan Roig, the president of Prosegur, Helena Revoredo or Acciona, José Manuel Entrecanales.

In last year's edition, the business auditorium did not applaud Sanchez and left him practically alone in the subsequent cocktail. Even so, Moncloa initially accepted the invitation to close this year, but has ended up canceling at the last minute arguing agenda problems . Sanchez sends instead the acting Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, who is going to find a hostile auditorium for her plan to raise the Corporate and Inheritance and Donations tax, among other measures.

The Congress is inaugurated by King Felipe VI on Monday and Riberas wants it to serve as an impetus for a great educational State pact , because, in his opinion, there is the paradox that in the country of 14% unemployment rate, the Companies have trouble finding staff.

The presidents of the Family Business Institute and the 18 related Territorial Associations have already signed an institutional declaration in Murcia in which they commit "to promote a reform of the educational model to adapt it to the reality and to the needs of people and companies ".

The declaration signed today bears the title of A step forward in Education and links with the central argument of the Congress, "in which we want to highlight the willingness of the Spanish family business to get deeply involved in the construction of the economic model it needs Spain to face the transformation the world is undergoing, proposing constructive and far-reaching proposals, "according to a statement from the association.
