The United Nations is participating in an independent pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, where it raises the slogan “We the peoples: to shape our future together”.
The announcement follows the announcement by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that the annual celebration of the organization next year will see global talks led by young people, centered on the role of international cooperation in making the future that the world wants, as part of the celebration of the International Jubilee Diamond Foundation.
Participation in Expo 2020 will provide the United Nations with the opportunity to share millions of visitors and participants with its mission, activities and achievements over the past 75 years, and to inspire them to become involved in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 goals.

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Pavilion at Expo 2020, Maher Nasser, said that the pavilion will be located on an adjustable central space, which will host events, presentations, discussions and meetings, and will be surrounded by exhibits that tell the stories of the United Nations, its agencies, achievements and individuals.
The pavilion would be organized in a manner that would inspire many new advocates to engage closely in the United Nations, highlighting the openness, accessibility and relevance of the United Nations, and listening to the voices of young people from across the spectrum.
Influential force
Nasser said that when the visitors leave their tour of the pavilion, they will feel that the United Nations is an influential force in the world, inviting everyone to participate. That experience would focus on fostering a sense that the protection and protection of the rights of all people, and indeed of all living beings and the planet itself, was at the heart of the work of the United Nations.
