NASDAQ Dubai yesterday welcomed the listing of a $ 750 million Sukuk by the emirate of Sharjah.
This is the second listing of sukuk by the emirate of Sharjah in Nasdaq Dubai, after listing a $ 1 billion sukuk in April this year, the exchange said in a statement yesterday.
The total value of sukuk listed by the emirate of Sharjah on the exchange reached $ 4.2 billion in five listings, after its first listing in 2014.
According to the statement, the total value of Sukuk listed on the market in Dubai reached US $ 63.7 billion, reinforcing Dubai's position as one of the largest sukuk listing centers in the world.
NASDAQ Dubai is the global financial exchange for the region between Western Europe and East Asia. It receives issuers from around the world who are looking to capitalize on investment opportunities. The exchange currently lists equities, derivatives, sukuk, conventional bonds and real estate investment funds.
