The Ministry of the Economy has conducted a survey to take the measure of the lack of preparation of French companies in the approach of Brexit. It draws an alarming record.

According to this worrying observation drawn up by the survey of the Directorate-General for Enterprises (DGE), conducted among nearly 3,000 SMEs, even the companies that work directly with Great Britain are not all developed. Fewer than seven out of ten companies with a subsidiary in Britain say they have studied the impact of Brexit.

On the side of Bercy, we denounce a form of wait-and-see and we are worried about this lack of preparation. "I can not be satisfied with the fact that 54% of the companies surveyed say they have not examined the consequences of a Brexit for them, their customers, and their suppliers," regrets Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Secretary of State to the Minister of Finance. Economy, questioned by the JDD .

The companies surveyed believe that they are poorly informed, especially in recent weeks, which are rich in twists and turns. To try to help them and raise their awareness, the state has put online a self-diagnosis, to find on the website brexit.gouv.fr. But at Bercy, it is said bluntly: the state can not substitute for the work of companies.
