“Our position has been brought to Ukrainian partners, to European partners: that, without a doubt, it is necessary to completely resolve all legal disputes before concluding a new contract,” Miller quotes Interfax.
He pointed out that there are a lot of such disputes, and the main issue is the end of the transit agreement through Ukraine, which ends on December 31, 2019.
Earlier in Ukraine, they stated that they did not agree to extend the contract for gas transit for one year, since they intended to sign a long-term agreement.
On October 9, Miller met in Moscow with the German Federal Government Commissioner for Gas Transit through Georg Graf Waldersee.
Expert Igor Yushkov commented on the Naftogaz’s statement to the FAN that the company did not see any reason in extending the gas contract with Gazprom under current conditions.
