The acting Government of Pedro Sánchez will now send the 2020 Budget Plan to Brussels, a document in which he undertakes to raise pensions by 0.9% and increase the salary of officials by 2%.

As reported by the Ministry of Finance, "the revaluation of pensions in 2020 of 0.9% in order to maintain the purchasing power of pensioners." In the case of public workers, and as this newspaper advanced on Monday, the Executive maintains "the agreed salary increase of 2%."

In addition, the Government will review the macroeconomic picture although, as it has defended in recent weeks, it refuses to accept the economic slowdown. Thus, the growth estimate for this year will be reduced by one tenth, up to 2.1%, a figure that contrasts with the 1.9% that BBVA Research said yesterday.

"Economic growth will continue to generate employment, with rates of creation of full-time jobs of 2.3% and 2% in 2019 and 2020 respectively, which will continue to reduce the unemployment rate to 13.8% east year and 12.3% in 2020, "says the Government, which also rejects the slowdown that the Bank of Spain estimates is being registered in the labor market.
