Kannon Iwayama

In Kannoniwayama, about 500 meters above sea level in Minami-ku, Sapporo, the autumn leaves are colored to about 60% of the peak. It takes about an hour to reach the summit of Mt. Kannon. It is also called Hachikenzan because of its rock shape and is known as a famous place for autumn leaves.

Jozankei

Even in Jozankei, a 20-minute drive from Kannoniwa Mountain, the autumn leaves of beech and birch trees have advanced to 80% of the peak.

Toyohirakyo Dam

The Toyohira Gorge Dam near Jozankei is also at the peak of autumn colors, and the highlight is the autumn leaves that you can see from the dam's embankment. It was crowded with tourists enjoying the beautifully colored rowan and maple trees.
