In Syria, the regime's forces are moving towards the Turkish border. They are facing the Ankara army which launched a huge offensive against the Kurds in northern Syria five days ago. The Kurds have reached an agreement with the regime for help.

At the Peshabor border post between Syria and Iraq, the activity is quite usual. Kurds coming out of Syria usually live there in Iraq and go back and forth to see their families but there is no massive influx of refugees.

Foreign journalists and some humanitarian organizations who entered Syria illegally to work there (the only way to do so) have had to leave in the last few hours for fear of being arrested by the Syrian regime.

Things have been going very fast since yesterday evening, after the announcement of an agreement between the Kurdish forces and the regime of Bashar al-Assad to stand united against the Turkish offensive, the Syrian troops have progressed enormously. According to the official media, they have entered the big cities of northern Syria like Kobane, Manbij, Tal Tamer, Ain Issa, or Qamichli.

We thought we were supported and we trusted for nothing. And now, we Kurds, we no longer trust anyone. Because all these great countries have betrayed us, it's hard for us. We want the international community that claims to believe in human rights, that they feel what we live ... What have we done to Germany, England, France, or America or Russia? We made so many sacrifices for them and they sold us all!
