Fukushima Suga River Abukuma River to flooding dangerous water level October 12 23:03

According to the Fukushima River National Highway Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Fukushima Regional Meteorological Observatory, the Abukuma River exceeded the inundation risk level at the Sukagawa Water Level Observatory in Sukagawa City.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Meteorological Observatory are calling for the appropriate flood-prevention action by issuing a flood risk information at 10:00 pm as there is a risk of levee breakage or inundation along the Abukuma River in Sukagawa City.

Care should also be taken along the Abukuma River, such as Fukushima City, Koriyama City, Date City and Nihonmatsu City.

If the river is already inundated, it may be dangerous to go outside and evacuate, so we are calling to take maximum action to protect our lives, such as evacuating as high as possible in the building.
