It is great that the Russian side has such a reliable partner. This project is really very beneficial for Berlin. Russia has an extensive history of gas supplies to Germany, since the times of the USSR there have never been any disruptions, ”the deputy said.
Ananskikh also noted that Nord Stream 2 is an international consortium and not only the Russian side is investing in it.
“There is no point in stopping the project and nobody will do it,” he said.
Earlier, Kramp-Karrenbauer opposed attempts to stop Nord Stream 2.
According to her, the project is important for German energy security and diversification of gas supplies.
