The Department of Economic Development (Abu Dhabi) has announced the initiative of automatic renewal of licenses for economic activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through SMS as soon as the renewal of the lease contract through Tawtheeq system, as part of its efforts to achieve excellence in licensing services and the application of an advanced proactive approach to reach customers. It serves the business community and promotes ease of doing business and the flow of investments to Abu Dhabi.
This came during the participation of the Department in the activities of «Gitex Technology Week», within the pavilion of the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which is sponsored by Abu Dhabi Digital Authority.
Under the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Accelerated Development Program (Tomorrow 21), the initiative will translate into a comprehensive and proactive approach and create an environment for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to accelerate the process of doing business in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. An incubator for entrepreneurs, enhancing Abu Dhabi's competitiveness as a leading business and investment destination.
He explained that the initiative includes the renewal of licenses for about 71 economic activities.After coordination with local and federal government authorities, the number of automatically renewable activities through the SMS system reached 3438 economic activities, bringing the total renewable licenses to 95% of the total licenses registered in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
He added that the auto-renewal initiative is in addition to the series of initiatives to facilitate business, and to reach investors and businessmen through digital channels as a technological means to enable the department to simplify and simplify procedures, thus enhancing the competitiveness of doing business in Abu Dhabi.
Al Balooshi stressed the Department's commitment and keenness to work in accordance with the directions of the Abu Dhabi Government, and its clear vision in simplifying procedures and facilitating transactions, and how to reach government services to dealers, in the interest of enhancing the investment environment in the emirate, and motivate investors and businessmen to do business in the Emirate.
Mohammed Ali Al Marar, Director of the Department of Commercial Licenses, said that the renewal of the commercial license through the SMS system by the Abu Dhabi Business Center is done automatically, without the need to review the client and await the approvals of the relevant authorities.
He added that the customer will receive a proactive SMS by clicking on the link to pay the fees for renewing his expired license, 14 days before the expiry date of the license, pointing out that this procedure starts immediately after the customer renews the authentication contract, and receives his data directly through the system Payment of renewal fees The customer receives an instant message stating the renewal of his economic license.
