According to him, the gas pipeline for the countries that will connect to it will become the only source of natural gas from one country along one route.
At the same time, Perry declares that the route will pass through "dependent countries, which Moscow (will try) to subordinate to its will."
The American minister proposed an alternative in the form of deliveries from the USA, assuring that Europe’s energy security could be strengthened “by the supply of liquefied natural gas from the USA”.
He also added that the launch of Nord Stream 2 and the Turkish Stream will allow Russia to do without transit through Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the construction of two gas pipelines is exclusively commercial in nature.
As emphasized in Gazprom, the completion of the Nord Stream 2 will take another four to five weeks.
In mid-September, the FRG noted that Ukraine should remain a gas transit country after the start of the gas pipeline.
