Kotoshi's rice pattern is expected to be "average on average" on a national average.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced the 30th year of rice. The production index, with the normal year as 100, was 101 on average nationwide as of the 15th of this month, and was “normal”.

Looking at each region, since rice planting, in northern Japan, where the weather was generally overwhelming, all surpassed 100 and became “slightly good”, with Hokkaido, Aomori Prefecture, and Yamagata Prefecture becoming 105.

On the other hand, in Shikoku and Kyushu, which suffered from lack of sunshine and low temperatures in the summer, all prefectures were less than 100.

Especially in Saga Prefecture, the lack of sunshine in July greatly affected the growth of stems, and the index is the lowest 93 “bad” in the country.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries says, “I want to pay close attention to the situation in the Kanto region, such as Chiba Prefecture, where typhoon damage has not yet been clarified.”
