Consumption tax rate increase Printing company Menu table order surges September 30 15:50

Before raising the consumption tax rate on the 1st of next month, orders from restaurants that change the menu table are rapidly increasing at printing companies in Tokyo.

A printing company in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, designs and produces restaurant menus and advertisements.

From September to October every year, there are many restaurants that introduce new menus for the fall and winter, and requests for production will increase. Orders increased by more than 1.5 times the average year due to requests from restaurants that changed or raised prices.

About 30 employees have responded to the return of the holiday, but it was still in the limit as to whether or not it could be delivered by one day, so 30 days were working on printing and bookbinding from early in the morning.

Koichi Hirasawa, president of the printing company “HiRASAWA,” said, “It's a tough situation from design to printing, and we want to deal with it on the spot and finish it by tomorrow.”
