Emirates today announced appointments and changes to its commercial operations team to enhance its capabilities to better serve its customers across its global network and respond flexibly to opportunities in various markets.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Airline, said: “The Department is responsible for achieving our goals and achieving the best results, with revenues of nearly AED 100 billion last year. I am confident that our team will be able to provide the best levels of support to our customers, continue to strengthen our strategy and continue to grow to achieve our goals. ”

The following appointments and changes will take effect on October 1, 2019, with commercial operations officials in key markets across the six continents reporting to Adnan Kazim.

Salim Obaidullah, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations for the Americas Region, and currently Senior Vice President, International Affairs.

• Adel Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran, will be added to the UAE and Oman markets.

Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President, Far Eastern Region Commercial Operations, currently in charge of Africa.

• Badr Abbas, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Africa Region, currently in the Far East.

• Terry Okoc, currently Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for Europe and the Russian Federation, will be added to the German and UK markets.

Ahmed Khoury continues as Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for West Asia and Indian Subcontinent.

In addition, the following moves will take place in the Commercial Department:

Issa Suleiman Ahmed, currently vice president of commercial operations for India and Nepal, will be promoted to regional vice president for the US and Canada and will report to Salem Obaidullah.

Jabr Al Athaibi, currently Vice President of Commercial Operations for Pakistan, will be Vice President for India and Nepal.

Mohammed Sarhan, currently Director of Commercial Operations for Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia, will be promoted to Vice President for Pakistan and will report to Issa Suliman Ahmed.

Andrew Byrne, currently Regional Director for Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia, will be promoted to Vice President of Sales (US) and will report to Salem Obaidullah.

Changes in the Commercial Service and revenue optimization included:

Dina Mash, currently Vice President of Customer Experience (Skywards), will become Vice President of Business Products (B2B and Holiday Companies).

Mohammed Al Hashimi, Vice President of Commercial Products (Dubai), will now report directly to Adnan Kazim.

Bob Cable, currently vice president of B2C Internet Sales and Additional Products, will be promoted to Senior Vice President of Internet Sales Development and will be managing Emirates Holidays.

Anand Lakshminarayanan, currently Senior Vice President of Revenue Optimization, will become Senior Vice President of Revenue Optimization and Distribution and will continue to report to Adnan Kazim.

Amit Khandelwal, currently Regional Vice President for Resource Inventory and Resource Orientation, will become Regional Vice President for Resource Orientation and Distribution.

Bill Cavendish, currently vice president of maximizing distribution revenue, will become vice president of distribution strategy and report to Amit Khandalwal.

Mohit Sural, currently Vice President of Market Revenue Optimization (West), has been promoted to Regional Vice President for Global Markets Operations and will report to Anand Lakshminarayanan.

Hamanth Nalakandi, currently vice president of market revenue maximization (center), will become vice president of market operations (east), reporting to Mohit Sural.

With the new announcement of changes and mobility, 12 UAE nationals are now taking leadership roles in the Emirates Commercial Operations team. They have been working with the national carrier for more than 10 years, most of them graduates of the Management Training Program for University Citizens.
