Supermarket chain Walmart stops selling e-cigarettes in its American stores, the company announced on Friday evening.
Current stocks will still be sold, but Walmart will then stop selling e-cigarettes and associated tobacco products completely.
The e-cigarette has regularly been in the news in the negative. For example, several studies have shown that e-cigarettes can cause lung diseases. Hundreds of Americans have also been admitted to hospital in the recent period through the use of the e-cigarette. Eight of them are said to have died.
The government has already announced plans to ban e-cigarettes with a taste, millions of teenagers are said to have become addicted to nicotine.
In addition, Andrew Cuomo, the governor of the state of New York, announced last week that he would banish electronic cigarettes with a taste.
