Jean-Pierre Farandou will succeed Guillaume Pepy as head of the railway group.

The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron has chosen Jean-Pierre Farandou, senior executive of the SNCF, to succeed Guillaume Pepy at the head of the railway group, announced Wednesday evening the Elysee.

"The President of the Republic is considering, on a proposal from the Prime Minister, to appoint Jean-Pierre Farandou as chairman of the board of SNCF," said the presidency, noting that Emmanuel Macron had "warmly thanked" Guillaume Pepy "for his commitment to leading the company for more than ten years".
