Dubai Economic Department confirmed that it resolved the issue of commercial dispute between two commercial companies, one operating in the local market and the other outside the country, and obliged the Department of Commercial Complaints in the sector of commercial control and consumer protection, the local company to repair the damage caused by non-compliance with the agreement, and not to load the business Abroad no burdens, to be affected by the fault and neglect of the local contracting party.

Dubai's economy called on traders and commercial establishments to abide by the terms of the agreement, to scrutinize them and not to violate the terms of the business process, stressing that it works to protect local markets, and find a balanced relationship between commercial establishments, and resolve the commercial complaints submitted by enterprises among them.

She pointed out that the complaints are examined and verified the documents submitted, and communicate with the parties to the complaint, to find solutions to commercial complaints and close within 10 working days.

Commercial complaint

In detail, the Commercial Business Complaints Section of the Dubai Economic Department received a complaint from a commercial establishment outside the UAE, stating that a commercial agreement had been concluded with a local company, which includes the supply of a set of electronic devices with specifications that were previously agreed upon between the two parties.

In its complaint, the business explained that part of the money had been transferred to the local establishment and that the remaining amount had been agreed upon after receipt of the equipment. The official at the foreign company said that he was surprised at the receipt of the shipment, that the devices do not comply with the specifications agreed upon according to the contract, pointing out that officials in the company tried to communicate with the local company complained against, but without response, which prompted the foreign company to Submit a formal complaint to the Dubai Department of Business Protection to review the complaint and settle it to obtain its rights.

Mufid al-Zaabi, Senior Commercial Complaints Manager, told Emirates Today that the official in the Commercial Complaints Department contacted the officials of the local company in Dubai after verifying the documents submitted by the complaining company and the contract between the two parties.

He added that after the meeting and discussion, the official in the local company that he sent the devices by mistake, and paid a money to the shipping company to move the devices from Dubai to the other party, and that is why he stalled in retransmitting the correct devices and retrieve the devices that were sent By mistake.

Al-Zaabi confirmed that the trader is responsible for checking and ensuring the safety of the product or service and its conformity with the details agreed upon before proceeding with any action.Therefore, the complainant was asked against him to start the procedures of sending the correct devices, especially since the other party is not responsible for this error and neglect. He stressed that traders are bound by the terms of the agreements concluded, and they should always make sure that the products and services comply with the specifications, even delivered to the other party, to avoid any losses resulting from any error caused by non-audit or negligence, and to preserve the rights of others.
