Thousands of passengers are currently stranded in airports, sometimes abroad, without being able to return to France because of lack of links. This problem is explained by the stopping of Aigle Azur flights which served mainly Algeria. All tickets are now canceled and will not be refunded. For the company, a race against the clock began: it has until Monday to try to find a buyer.

To help it, the French state says to seek solutions. The Minister of the Economy, Bruno Lemaire, evokes, for example, a main offer to study and the structure that deals with companies in difficulty is currently working on a takeover offer.

On the airline side, Air France has also looked into the matter but internally, some are worried about the real state of Aigle Azur and would like to know more about the financial situation of the company. Air Caraïbes and Vueling Airlines are also positioning themselves to take over some of the activity.

Within Aigle Azur, one of the shareholders said he was ready to provide funds as soon as possible to restart the business.
