Another 44 flights and then the "blackout". The airline Aigle Azur announced the cancellation of all its flights from Friday evening, consequence of its placement in receivership. Between 40,000 and 50,000 people are affected by the setbacks of the company, which provides for nearly half of its flights with Algeria.

In the corridors of Orly airport on Friday morning, just after the relief of knowing that the flights of the day would leave, the question of return for hundreds of travelers is now a problem. Abder goes to Algeria with his wife and two children: "Every year I go with Aigle Azur," he explains to Europe 1. "Recently, we learned that they were in receivership. a return trip and to go it goes, but for the return it will have to get by with another company.It is a budget more ", annoys this traveler, who is already considering reducing his stay on site according to the rates offered by the other companies.

"Do not expect compensation"

Some travelers, like Samira, deplore a lack of information just before boarding: "They told us clearly to take a return with another company, because they no longer assured them," she says. "Given the situation of the company, we should not expect compensation," said the young woman who now intends to get closer to his insurance to be reimbursed.

If the insurance does not support the reimbursement of the return ticket, Aigle Azur has indicated on its website the procedure to apply for a claim to legal representatives, but this type of procedure may take time. In the meantime, the passengers especially hope that the prices of the other companies will not suddenly start flaming.

Thursday night, the Ministry of Transport promised a full mobilization of the state to identify buyers. They have until Monday to submit their offer.
