The second day of strike of the ground staff of Iberia has begun with a follow-up of the stops of less than 20% and normality at the airports of Barajas (Madrid) and El Prat (Barcelona) , according to the company, which states that they are fulfilling the minimum services and 167 flights have been served.

At 8.30 am, the monitoring of the strike called by UGT was 18.06% in Barajas and 12.37% in the case of Prat, according to the figures indicated by the airline in a statement.

In Madrid, a total of 71 flights have been managed from early morning -26 departures and 45 arrivals-, while in the case of Barcelona, ​​where there is also an indefinite arrest of security guards, the figure rises to 96 flights -53 departures and 43 arrivals-.

The land workers of this company claim a new employment plan that ends with what the unions have described as a "perpetual eventuality", and Ryanair staff will join them from this Sunday , with various stoppages throughout of the month of September.

The balance of the first strike day was settled with 58 flights canceled at both airports. The total cancellations for this Saturday are expected to be 44 flights.
