He explained that the 193 member states of the Organization will meet at the end of September to choose a new Council of the Organization consisting of 36 members for a period of three years, noting that the new Council will in turn elect the president directly during the annual meeting.

Arab Group

Al-Suwaidi said that Captain Aisha Al-Hamli also became the candidate of the Arab group to chair the ICAO Council after the elections of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Authority.
