Hong Kong demonstrators protesting criminal extradition legislation yesterday (Hay 23) held a street demonstration in Hong Kong that created a giant human belt of more than 45 km. Tensions are on the rise today as there could be an unexpected situation like an airport occupation.

Demonstrators in black attire carrying colorful umbrellas march through downtown Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong government has suspended some sections of the subway passing through the rally, saying it is expected to have radical protests.

The protesters strongly criticized the legislative measures to suppress legitimate protests, but said they would continue the "progressive" rally where the crowds move like water.

However, there are posts on the Hong Kong SNS about occupying the airport again, and the possibility of a collision cannot be excluded, such as confronting the police in various parts of the city.

Following the massive peace demonstrations over the weekend, if the peace rally continues to this day, the prospects of Chinese government's involvement in armed interventions are likely to be diminished.

Last night, Hong Kong citizens held hands together in the city center and demonstrated a 45-km long human belt.

As protests against Hong Kong's repatriation law have prolonged, financial groups such as Hong Kong's civilian human rights front have announced another massive rally today.
