Point reduction Applications for small and medium-sized stores almost doubled Early call for application August 23, 21:09

Along with the increase in the consumption tax rate, there were over 430,000 small and medium-sized stores that applied for participation in the cashless payment point reduction system implemented as an economic measure. The number has almost doubled in less than a month, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is calling for an early application to be able to participate from the beginning.

The point return system is a system that raises the consumption tax rate to 10% and pays cashless payments such as credit cards at small and medium-sized stores for nine months from October.

According to the announcement by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, applications from small and medium-sized stores that wish to participate in the system have so far reached 431,682 stores.

This is equivalent to 20% of approximately 2 million stores nationwide.

From May to the end of last month when applications were accepted, there were only 230,000 stores, but this number has almost doubled in less than a month.

On the other hand, more than 180,000 stores have passed the screening process.

Recently, there are about 10,000 applications a day, but the increase in the consumption tax rate is approaching about a month later, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will apply early so that it can participate from the beginning. I am calling you.

In addition, the stores that pass the screening and participate in the system are announced on the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry website, and we want to promote awareness to consumers.
