The actions of the British company that created Peppa Pig (Entertaiment One) are triggered today in the London Stock Exchange after the toy company Hasbro, owner of brands and licenses such as Little Pony, Monopoly, Marvel, Star Wars or Disney, announced that it has reached an agreement to buy the television group that created the drawings .

The US manufacturer will pay £ 5.60 for each share of eOne (the British studio that launched Peppa Pig). They pay 26% more on the price set at the close of yesterday's session and 30% more than the average of the last month.

It will disburse a total of 3,300 pounds (3,640 million euros) for the operation. The operation could be completed in the fourth quarter of this year and will allow Hasbro to promote licenses (products based on the series) and merchandising of the famous child character.

The president of Hasbro, Brian Goldner, stressed that the acquisition of eOne will give the company "a new way to create brands aimed at the family audience," including Hasbro's intellectual property. Shares of the British study rose about 30% on the London Stock Exchange after the agreement was known.

Peppa Pig is a children's series of drawings created premiered on May 31, 2004 on the British channel Channel 5. In Spain it is broadcast since 2010 by Clan and then was aired on Disney Junior.
