Putin: work on the Nord Stream 2 site in Finland completed


Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that work on the Finnish section of the Nord Stream 2 project has been completed. He said this at a press conference following talks with his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinistö.

“I can inform you that work has been completed on the Finnish site, in the Finnish exclusive economic zone for laying this pipeline system,” the Russian leader said.

Earlier, the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland dismissed the appeal of the Polish environmental organization against the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

On August 16, Gazprom announced that the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was built at 73.6%.
