GTX is an express train that runs through a large depth tunnel 40 meters deep.

It runs three to four times faster than a regular subway, allowing you to quickly travel between the metropolitan area and downtown Seoul.

Passing the preliminary feasibility study, the GTX-B line departs from Songdo, Incheon and passes through Yeouido, Seoul Station, and Cheongnyangni, and goes to Namseok, Maseok.

It is the line that divides the metropolitan area from east to west.

The Ministry of Land and Home Affairs sees significant improvements in accessibility to Seoul in areas of Incheon and the northeastern metropolitan area where traffic conditions are relatively poor.

[Najin Port / Director, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: GTX-B connects the east and west of the metropolitan area to 100 kilometers per hour.

The construction of the 80.1-kilometer route is expected to cost 5.7 trillion won.

The transportation map of the metropolitan area is expected to change anew as the operation of the GTX-A line, which was started at the end of last year, and the C line, which is establishing the basic plan of the project, and the operation of the B line.

The GTX-B line is expected to start construction at the end of 2022 after establishing the basic plan and investigating the eligibility of the private sector.
