“It is necessary to do everything so that such accidents, similar incidents do not recur, since they create for our country - and not only create, they, in fact, brought both reputational costs and losses," RIA Novosti quoted Medvedev as saying.

Medvedev, discussing at a meeting with Transneft’s head Nikolai Tokarev the consequences of an emergency with oil pipeline pollution, said he would entrust him with studying the proposals of the pipeline monopoly on oil quality control and preparing regulatory decisions as soon as possible.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Energy, Alexander Novak, said that the crisis with the pollution of the Druzhba oil pipeline was over, Russia supplied high-quality oil through it.

On August 8, it was reported that the Belarusian section of the Druzhba pipeline was completely cleaned of contaminated oil.
