As a result of analyzing the semi-annual report of 90 listed companies from the 10 largest group affiliates, the company's separate operating profit for the first half of this year totaled 21,297 billion won, compared to 45,881 billion won in the first half of last year. 53.52% decrease.

In particular, operating profit for the second quarter was KRW 8.19 trillion, down 63% from the same period last year.

As a result, the operating profit margin of the top ten listed companies fell to 6.59% in the first half of this year, down to half of 13.73% last year, and fell to 4.95%, much less than half of last year's 12.98%.

By group, only two Hyundai Motor Group and Hyundai Heavy Industries Group increased their operating profit in the first half of this year, while the other eight decreased.

In particular, Hanwha Group recorded the highest rate of decline among the top 10 groups in the first half of this year due to sluggish operating profits of Hanwha Chemical and Hanwha.

In the same period, Samsung Group's operating profit also decreased 65.86% from KRW 23.27 trillion to KRW 7.94 trillion.

Samsung Electronics' operating profit fell 69.91% due to the global semiconductor market downturn.

Also, Hanjin Group's operating profit, which decreased 81.96%, also decreased 63.07% from KRW370.1 billion to KRW136.7 billion.

SK Group's operating profit also fell 61.13%, but SK Hynix's operating profit dropped 83.93% due to the sluggish semiconductor market.

Lotte Group, Shinsegae Group, LG Group, and GS Group also recorded double-digit operating profit declines.

In the first half of this year, the top ten group listed companies' total sales decreased 3.10% to 3.323 trillion won, and overall net profit decreased 41.27% to 21.27 trillion won.
