Dubai Statistics Center reported that the annual general consumer price index (CPI) decreased by 3.04% in July 2019 compared to the same period in 2018, where the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel decreased by 6.27%, which reduced inflation by 2.68 points, and the transport department by 3.60% It reduced inflation by 0.41 points, Miscellaneous Goods and Services by 2.09%, which reduced inflation by 0.13 points, Clothing and Footwear by 4.93%, Tobacco by 0.96% and Telecommunications by 0.01%.
The Center said that the general monthly index of consumer prices in July 2019 compared to June 2019, in turn, decreased by 0.43%, as a result of the decline in prices of: Transportation Department by 2.24%, and the Department of Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel by 0.42%, and Clothing and Clothing 5.12% foot, furniture and furnishings, home appliances and repair by 0.37% and communications by 0.11%.
