He also noted that Merkel, reflecting the interests of Germany, takes a certain position in relation to Nord Stream 2, which is why some countries want to express additional support to Washington.

Earlier, Nauseda said that he had expressed to German Chancellor Angela Merkel a “rather skeptical opinion” of Lithuania regarding the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project.
