Two maritime guards were swept off the coast or were missing 2 people Chiba Tateyama Aug. 13 19:26

On the evening of the 13th, two men were housed on a patrol boat off the coast of Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture, and the Coast Guard has now confirmed details. In Tateyama City, two people who were bathing in the sea were washed off the coast and disappeared, and the Coast Guard is confirming that there is a possibility of these two people.

At around 4:00 pm on the 13th, two men were found offshore in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture and were held on a patrol boat. I don't know the details, and the Coast Guard is checking.

On Tunayama City's Nura Coast on the 12th at 6am, five men who were bathing in the sea were washed off the coast, and three of them returned to the shore by themselves. And the whereabouts of the 18-year-old office worker was lost.

According to the Japan Coast Guard, five of them were friends from high school and had been swimming since early morning on the 12th.

The site where the two of them were missing was on the coast near the southern end of the Boso Peninsula, and according to Tateyama City, “offshore currents” in which tides flow quickly from the coast toward the offshore are likely to occur, and the seabed suddenly runs offshore. It means that swimming is prohibited in the vicinity because it becomes deep.

We are confirming that there is a possibility that two of the coast guards found offshore are missing.
