“The seasonally adjusted GDP growth rate in the II quarter of 2019 is estimated at 0.4% in quarterly terms after a one-time decrease of 0.2% in the I quarter, which suggests a lack of a technical recession in the Russian economy," TASS reports ministries.

The ministry also expects the Russian economy to regain growth in the 3rd quarter of 2019 after weak dynamics in the 2nd quarter.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development, Russia's GDP growth in the second half of 2019 can reach 1.6-1.8% in annual terms.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia did not support the bill of the Ministry of Health prohibiting the sale of alcohol by a fortress of more than 16.5% to persons under 21 years of age.
